Optimization
Playlist browser is now embedded in the home page and will display only when the user is logged in and their account is linked with Spotify. This makes for a more straightforward user experience.
We've increased the radius of the circles where you can click to connect nodes together. This addresses a major pain point on mobile.
We've increased the resolution of various embedded images for better viewing.
The examples & tutorial pages will be created down the road, after we've approached a more finalized product. However, we've formulated a list of some basic example smart playlists on paper, as well as some detailed explanations of what each node type does, and how the playlist editor works in general. So far, some of this information can be found at https://wwwsmartplaylistmanager.com/about.
We are currently implementing dialog boxes using a React library called Toastify. This will be used for displaying issues with playlist configurations upon saving, as well as providing the option to either 'overwrite' or 'save as new' when you've edited an existing smart playlist configuration.
Delivery
The following two videos showcase the process of making an account, linking with Spotify, creating a smart playlist, and finally viewing the smart playlist after it's been successfully built.
Management
We are continuing to make progress on our Trello tasks, as well as periodically creating new tasks as we see fit. The current state of the Trello board (as of March 29, 2022) is shown directly below. We've recently performed a number of merges on our GitHub repository (shown at the bottom of this page).
