Milestone 3
3.1 Implementation
The team has chosen React Native as our coding framework for Soma. Our coding and debugging team has downloaded the necessary and compatible compilers for their OS system so that they can collaborate on these efforts. As React Native, Android Studio and JavaScript are new to about half of our team, we are still familiarizing ourselves with the language and its capabilities, as well as implementation and simulation. This includes testing out code, connecting GitHub pilot to our IDEs and understanding the syntax of the language. We have begun trying to code the book upload and text/pdf scanning function as that will be the first step of most of the features of our application.Â
