Ying Wang, Associate Professor

Dr. Ying Wang is an associate professor in the School of System and Enterprises at Stevens Institute of Technology. She has broad experience in industry and academia, and interdisciplinary knowledge in wireless communications, health informatics, software engineering, and data mining. She holds multiple patents in wireless AI, healthcare, IoT, and cognitive radio. Her primary research interests are telemedicine, healthcare in 5G and beyond, and content-aware, edge-centered medical decision support systems. She has a great passion for the industrialization of research.

Post Doctoral Scholar

Sudhanshu Arya


Sudhanshu received his M.Tech. degree in communications and networks from the National Institute of Technology, Rourkela, India, in 2017, and the Ph.D. degree from Pukyong National University, Busan, South Korea, in 2022. He worked as a Research Associate with the Department of Artificial Intelligence Convergence, at Pukyong National University. His research interests include wireless communications and digital signal processing, with a focus on free-space optical communications, optical scattering communications, optical spectrum sensing, computational game theory, and artificial intelligence. He received the Best Paper Award in ICGHIT 2018 and the Early Career Researcher Award from the Pukyong National University in 2020.

Jingda Yang

Spring 2022

Jingda Yang is a current Ph.D. Student in MACC lab. He has extensive experience in industry and academics. With the knowledge of Deep Learning and Reinforcement Learning, he focuses on research on the active protection system.

Zhuzhu Wang

Fall 2022

Zhuzhu Wang is a current Ph.D student in MACC lab. His interests including machine learning, game theory and data-driven research. 

Bing Mak

Fall 2022

Bing Mak is a current Ph.D student in MACC lab.  He is working as a system engineer with a consulting firm for R&D contracts. He has a MS degree in Electrical Engineering with expertise experiences in RF system development, developmental testing, and system management.

Yifeng Peng

                                                  Fall 2023

Yifeng Peng is a Ph.D student in MACC lab in Fall 2023. His interests include machine learning, quantum computing, and Graph embedding

Ishan Aryendu

Fall 2023

Ishan is a computer science graduate student who is interested in applying machine learning for data analytics. He is a Microsoft Azure certified professional with three and a half years of experience as a software developer for an analytics firm. He is excited to begin his journey with the MACC lab and will focus on the use of machine learning in multiple sectors.

Mingze Pan

  Fall 2023

Mingze Pan is a current Ph.D student in MACC lab. His interests include machine learning, signal processing and eVTOL communication.


Eric Forbes

  Fall 2024

Eric Forbes is a current Ph.D student in MACC lab. His interests include 5G, Satellite Communications, machine learning and signal processing. He has a B.S. and M.S. in Electrical Engineering. His certifications include a PMP, and a Professional Engineer license. His occupation is a full time systems engineer in the space/defense sector with 9+ years of experience. 

Master's Students

Savannah Bergen

Savannah is doing a Master's Degree in Systems Engineering with a concentration in Software. She did her undergraduate work at St. Mary's College of Maryland, and majored in CS and Math. She enjoys running, yoga, and playing tennis and soccer in her free time. 

Jarret Rock

Jarret Rock is a student in the ME Systems Engineering program.  This is a second masters degree and an opportunity to continue a passion for research and analytical methods.  He has worked under Dr Wang's guidance for the SYS-800 special topics paper and is enthusiastic to be associated with the MACC Lab. Previous field of study is Aeronautical Science - BS and Aviation Human Factors - MS, both from Florida Tech. Currently employed as a Systems Engineer and Test Pilot at Collins Aerospace.  Focus is on aircraft Communication, Navigation and Surveillance systems.  Additional work as a flight instructor and Pt 141 pilot examiner.

Harris Spahic

Summer 2022 / Fall 2022

Harris is a senior computer science student from Secaucus, New Jersey pursuing an early masters in data science.  An avid teacher, he is interested in using his experience to find innovative solutions to humanitarian issues across the globe. He's excited to be working with the MACC Lab, researching fuzzy encoding security vulnerabilities within 5G networking protocols.

Sarah Korczukowski 

Fall 2022/Spring 2023


Sarah is a sophomore software engineering student from Hackettstown, New Jersey.  For the past months, Sarah competed in a National Cybersecurity competition and has been taking a course in cybersecurity in preparation for the GIAC Cybersecurity exam.  Additionally, she is a member of the Stevens Field Hockey team.  She is excited to be working with the MACC Lab in researching 5G networking protocols and web vulnerabilities. 

Danielle Dauphinais 

Fall 2022


Danielle is a Junior Computer Science student from Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.  In her time at Stevens she has been involved with Stevens Woman in Computer Science and Stevens Cyber Defense Team. Danielle is passionate about learning and being a team player. She is excited to be working with the MACC Lab in researching 5G networking protocols and possible vulnerabilities. 

Michael Zylka

Fall 2022


Michael is a senior cyber security student from Greenwood Lake, New York. Ever since his second year at Stevens, he has held the position of Red Team Coordinator for the Stevens Cyber Defense Team. Mike is interested in penetration testing, software development, and sharing knowledge with others. He has been working relentlessly with the MACC Lab in analyzing and testing software to find vulnerabilities in 5G networking protocols.

Jakob Gibson

Fall 2022


Jakob is a junior Computer Science Student from Havertown, Pennsylvania. They are interested in pursuing a career in academia, especially in topics related to systems and theory. They are thrilled to be working with the MACC lab and team to develop a fuzz-tester to find vulnerabilities in 5G networks.

Farhan Shaik

Farhan Shaik is a 4/4 Computer Science major at Stevens Institute of Technology.  Being raised around technology his entire life he has fully invested himself in the pursuit of Computer Science and studying the applications of it to solve problems across various fields.  His goal is to spend his life exploring a plethora of fields in which computers can be incorporated to solve real world problems.

Isabella Cruz

Isabella Cruz is a Senior Computer Science student from Vineland, New Jersey. She is dedicated to the Computer Science Department at Stevens, holding  an e-board position for the organization Stevens Women in Computer Science for the past three years and serving as a member of the Stevens CS Undergraduate Advisory Council. Isabella is a passionate problem solver and is very excited to be working with the MACC Lab researching possible vulnerabilities in 5G networking protocols.

Evan Jinks

Spring 2023


Evan Jinks is a Junior Mechanical Engineering student from Morris Plains, New Jersey. He is passionate in building solutions to real-world problems and is thrilled to work with new technologies. He is an enthusiast for drones and 3D printing, and is a board member and the suspension team lead for the Stevens SAE Baja Team. Evan is extremely excited to be working with the MACC Lab to research and develop 5G drone communications.

Jamie Rollins

Summer 2023

Jamie Rollins is a Senior Computer Science student from Farmingdale, New Jersey. She is interested in learning about computer graphics and rendering virtual objects in AR and VR. After school she plans to go into industry focusing on UX/UI design and 3D graphics. She is excited to be working in the MACC lab and help research the network requirements for a multi-user AR telehealth application that utilizes mobile edge computing.

Joshua Meharg

Spring 2023 / Summer 2023


Joshua Meharg is a Senior Computer Science student from Rutherford, New Jersey. He is involved on campus playing on the club soccer team and working as a course assistant teaching students computer science topics. He loves to learn and dive in on new projects that utilize new technologies and have real world impact. Interested in drone technology and wireless communications, he is excited to be working with the MACC lab to research and develop methods for drone communication utilizing 5G technology.

Mackenzy is a senior biomedical engineering major from Danbury, Connecticut. For the past two summers, she has done research projects in the Musculoskeletal Control and Dynamic Lab at Stevens. Additionally, Mackenzy is a member of the Stevens Field Hockey Team, Phi Sigma Sigma Sorority, and StevensTHON.


Katie Ng

Katie is a sophomore computer science student from New York, NY. As an aspiring software engineer, interested in applying human-centered design to develop practical and thoughtful solutions. She is excited to be launching this journey with the MACC Lab, where she will be studying autonomous resource selection in cellular vehicle-to-everything (V2X) technologies.
