Develop an automated monitoring and watering system that can independently maintain house plants for an extended period of time.
House plants can be difficult to maintain for many people as they require the correct amount of sunlight and regular watering. This can be even more difficult with multiple plants of different species or if the individual is away from home for extended periods of time.
An Arduino based system will monitor the soil moisture level, amount of sunlight, and ambient temperature of a house plant using various sensors. The Arduino shall additionally control a valve for watering that can be set to a desired time interval. The system will monitor the surroundings and adjust to ensure optimal environment for house plant maintenance and growth.
A solution that can give a plant owner detailed information about their plant and water it according to a preset interval and amount.
Cost of manufacture is heavily based around Arduino costs and housing material and production. Cost of maintenance will be relatively low and will rely on the type hosting for the data whether it be cloud or locally stored.
