Trademarks: While many have conceptualized the idea of a solar-powered iPhone case, I believe I may be among the first to actively bring this concept to life. Our product will feature a fully integrated solar panel built directly into the case, offering seamless functionality. We are establishing the brand under the trademark GreenCase, and we’ve secured the domain greencase.life
Copyrights: We would need to copyright any custom software we develop, as well as the design elements and product materials unique to GreenCase. Copyrighting the software ensures that our code remains protected from unauthorized use or duplication, while copyrighting the product designs secures the visual and functional elements of the case itself.
Patents: I came across several patents similar to my design, but one in particular stood out: US20150256026A1. It describes "a solar-powered case for charging electronic devices" with features such as a housing that includes a back and front panel with apertures for interacting with the device, solar panels integrated into the body, and a circuit board that connects to the solar panel and the device via an output jack. A Meter Light on the case indicates the light intensity powering the solar panels. While my case design differs slightly, their drawings and patent align closely with my overall concept.
