Senior Design Plan

For our senior design plan, we would like to do the following:

• Get into contact with emergency services (military, police, etc) to inquire about the need for an emergency drone civilians can use to get themselves out of trouble.

• Brainstorm what this drone will look like and research the proper software needed to make the drone function.

• Build initial designs for our product, comparing different options.

• Build and manufacture the winning prototype not to scale using 3D printing.  

• After agreeing said prototype is ready, create an actual to-scale prototype that is capable of completing all goals for the project. 

• Complete multiple trials and tests on the prototype to ensure there are no flaws/problems.

• Conduct surveys of the prototype to receive feedback.

• Use the received feedback to alter the prototype if necessary, either software-wise or hardware-wise.

• Once settled and happy with the final prototype, the civilian self-navigating drone will be ready for display at the innovation expo.
