For the senior design implementation:
We will begin by exploring the existing VR technologies at the time and assess how they can be applied to the medical field. Additionally, we must research if this need is truly sought after in the medical field.
Deeper research into the needs of anesthesiologists during operations and how VR can meet these needs. Identify major challenges involved in integrating VR technology with real-time vital sign monitoring.
Decide on the type of hardware and software that will be needed for the headset. This will be a very important part of the project so getting a head start is crucial.
Begin building the prototype for the device. Now that we know about the hardware/software and the needs of the Anesthesiologists, we are ready to begin building a prototype for the headset. Ensure that there is an iterative approach for continuous improvement and optimization, making sure to focus on usability, comfort, and regulatory compliance.
Begin testing our design by evaluating its comfort and effectiveness. Additionally, record how other people respond to our prototype and our ideas as a whole. This is a good time to fix any issues or bugs we find.
Prepare comprehensive demonstrations and presentations to showcase our design to possible stakeholders or anyone interested in it. This is important as this is how we portray our idea and designs to other people.
