Week 1: Created a website, made it public along with including my personal GitHub link on the website. Downloaded and installed Vivado 2019.2 on the device I will be using for class.
Week 2: Made sure that the drivers were installed to enable the FPGA to be connected to the device that has Vivado installed on it. Took a look at some of the additional documents up on the course website along with looking at VHDL.
Week 3: Added the correct board file within the files of Vivado to ensure that the board will communicate properly. Also, have part a of Lab 1 ready to be tested on the Artix 7 board.
Week 4: Connected the Artix 7 board to the device that had the Vivado code on it and successfully ran the code provided for Lab 1. After confirming the results for Lab 1, the code for Lab 2 is ready to be tested on the board.
Week 5: Connected the Artix 7 board to the device that had the Vivado code on it and successfully ran the code provided for Lab 2. After confirming the results, I documented my takeaways and observations from Lab 2.
Week 6: Ran into some problems with Lab 2 with the booting from a memory configuration file. Eventually, I was able to figure out the issue and complete Lab 2 successfully. Started to compile the code for Lab 3 and started to test the code at home as I have a VGA monitor that works with the board.
Week 7: Just started to prepare for Lab 3 due to Professor Lu traveling for the week.
