This project aims to create an application to digitize the SBAR evaluations that are completed by nurses during patient rounds on every shift to streamline the rounding process and improve patient care. The following images are examples of sheets used by nurses at different hospitals.

As you can see, while the idea of SBAR is widely used at hospitals internationally, SBAR sheets and information required is not standardized. Through our application, not only will we save time for nurses and improve patient care, we will also include all prompts and information to ensure no information is overlooked. This will ensure a comprehensive assessment for each patient and reduce the risk of misdiagnoses due to negligence. Furthermore, by standardizing SBAR, our application will reduce training time for nurses each time they move hospitals, especially for travel nurses.
