Full team meetings with our professor every Monday from 11 am to 1 pm
Team meetings on Fridays 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm
Week 1: Familiarize ourselves with past papers and data. Create a website to keep track of progress.
Weeks 2-9: Conduct research using AI and the code fragments.
Week 10: Conclude the research and create a poster to explain our findings
We met twice a week: one meeting on Mondays with the Professor and the other on Fridays without the Professor. In the meetings on Mondays, the three different teams our Professor was advising discussed what they have been doing for the past week in regard to their respective projects, and then the Professor would assign new tasks for each team separately. Once we knew what had to be done, each author would select a task they would like to work on, and work on that task until the meeting on Friday.
The Monday meetings allowed us to delegate tasks and ask the Professor any questions or concerns we had regarding the projects or tasks. Meanwhile, during the meetings on Fridays, each author of the team would explain what they have done, and what they still need to complete. If there was a disagreement on how to approach something, each author’s solution would be heard and then a compromise was made.
Because there were 40 files and 4 authors, each author was given 10 files to work on by the Professor. We were each responsible for using ChatGPT to refactor our 10 files for the 8 quality attributes and using the 80 refactored code segments to answer RQ2 and RQ3. All of our results were discussed as a team, and we decided on the next steps of our project together.
