Team Responsibilities

Jayden: Working with the machine learning aspect of the project. This included research and development in creating the neural network needed to train our program, setting up a training script. Doing baseline training and predictions.

Brianna: Designing and developing the front-end aspect of the project to make it aesthetic and design efficient for the users. Using VS code react and electron for the development and Adobe XD for the mock-up of the design.

Chloe: Helping with design and development and also Research and development into Sign language databases. Takes meeting minutes and takes project management headway to keep the team on track of our goals for each week. Also helps with Design and Development.

Team Assessment

Jayden:

Has worked out the backend of the project and gotten the base of the neural network and has initially trained 3 words to be recognized by our program. He has written a training script and done all of the heavy lifting with the machine learning aspect of the project. Below is a video of what he ahs accomplished this far:

Brianna:

She has designed a few different designs for the front end of the project and has gone through and started learning Electron paired with react. The team wishes to create a desktop application that is why we are using electron as well as React. She has also started developing the frontend of the application in a React workspace. Below is a picture of a few of the design options the team was looking at. She has started to learn more about Adobe XD to be able to make a more advanced UI below are baseline structures of the idea the team had for the space to look like. She has also created preliminary product logos

Chloe:

She worked a lot with the initial research and development and has done a lot to keep the team on track and done a lot of project management for the group. She has taken meeting minutes every meeting, helped us establish weekly goals and ensure we are accomplishing them, and much more. She also sorted through endless research to be able to find us a usable database that contains thousands of videos of signs.
