1. I can't fix it if I don't know it's broke. Please tell me about drips, discolorations,

faulty smoke detectors, etc. Removing but not replacing a smoke detector is a hazard to all.

Ignoring a discoloration in a bathroom ceiling might lead to owner apoplexy.

2. Please let me know if there are any problems with the refrigerator or stove.

3. If you have a lockable bedroom, keep a copy of the key in your car or somewhere outside

your room. Locking your self out and then breaking in the door in a panic can cost about $300

to repair.

4. Mostly likely to break if abused: vertical blind control mechanism.

ALWAYS TILT THE SLATS OPEN FULLY BEFORE DRAWING THE BLIND OPEN OR CLOSED.

Operate controls gently.

5. Likely to damage your damage deposit: carpet stains, gum in rug, disabling smoke alarms,

not reporting drips, non-functioning smoke alarms, slow drains, etc (and letting me find out after you move out).

6. SECURITY: break-ins happen! Be sure to lock doors and secure ground floor windows when

no one is present.

7. Please do not place "sticky" items on the walls as hangers.
