This is the seventh iteration of New York City Operations Day, where researchers from the greater New York metropolitan area convene to discuss research topics related to operations, broadly construed.
In 2026, NYC Ops Day will be a two-day event, featuring
(i) a main research conference on April 17th, 2026 and
(ii) a dedicated Students Day on April 16th, 2026. (Sign-up closes on 3/28)
The main conference brings together students, faculty, postdocs, and industry researchers for invited research talks, student poster sessions, and networking. The Student Day is open only to students and will provide students with an opportunity to share their work through thematic flash talks, with time for discussion and a potential panel focused on student topics.
The event is brought to you by Cornell Tech, Cornell University’s School of Operations Research and Information Engineering, Columbia University’s Department of Industrial Engineering and Operations Research, Columbia Data Science Institute’s Center for Financial and Business Analytics, NYU Stern School of Business, and Zicklin School of Business.
Programs for previous iterations can be found here for 2018, 2019, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025
This year we have funding for graduate students interested in attending the conference. All students interested in attending the conference should register via the student link.
There will be a poster session for students. Those wishing to apply for the poster session must fill out this form by 3/27. Acceptance notifications will be sent along with instructions (bring your own poster).
