We are proud to partner with Stephens County Food 2 Kids to help ensure our students have access to the food they need. Through this program, eligible SCHS students receive a weekly food bag to provide additional support outside of school.
If you would like to refer a student or learn more about the program, please contact the counselor assigned to the student. We are happy to help connect families with this valuable resource.
Stephens County High School partners with Avita and Social Empowerment Services to provide eligible students with access to in-person individual counseling during the school day. These services give students a supportive space to develop social-emotional skills, practice emotional regulation, and work through challenges or situations they may be experiencing.
Social Empowerment Services also offers monthly, topic-based group sessions designed to help students build skills, connect with peers, and navigate common challenges.
To learn more about these services or determine whether they may be a good fit for your student, please contact the counselor assigned to your student.
The RISE Peer Mentoring Program connects students with positive, supportive upperclassmen who have “been through their time at SCHS” and understand the challenges that come with high school. Our RISE mentors are student leaders who are committed to encouraging and supporting their peers.
Students are thoughtfully paired with mentors based on their interests, strengths, and areas where they may need additional support. Whether a student needs help developing study skills for Biology, navigating a new school, getting involved, building confidence, or simply making a new friend, a RISE mentor can provide encouragement and guidance from a student who has been there.
Sometimes, having someone who understands makes all the difference.
The Family Connection Mentor Program partners at-risk students with caring, supportive community mentors who are committed to helping students succeed. Mentors provide encouragement, positive relationships, and guidance while helping students build confidence, develop life skills, and stay connected to school.
Community mentors serve as positive role models and trusted adults who can encourage students through challenges, celebrate their successes, and help them recognize their potential. Through consistent support and connection, the program helps students feel valued, supported, and empowered to reach their goals.
If you would like to learn more about the Family Connection Mentor Program or discuss whether it may be a good fit for a student, please contact the counselor assigned to the student.
