In the thumbnail sketches, you've explored patent research and understand what products are out there already. Now, it's your turn! You're going to be doing sketches on solutions that could work. Remember, please try new designs and even the ones that you don't think will work. This is the time to explore and be creative because your first design won't be perfect.

- A minimum of 50 thumbnail designs per person. I expect that all of you will do more because this is a honors class and I know you are all capable. When you're stuck, ask others for a new perspective! Go for a walk around the class and look at metals to see what you could build.
- Each design is annotated with descriptions of what they are and how it works (2-3 sentences for every thumbnail design)
- Annotations of the parts of the design.

Eventually, we will be picking 7 of your designs and doing isometric/different viewpoint images on them using the grid paper (either isometric or orthographic paper).
