Art at St. Elizabeth

About Ms. Ferron

Hello STE families and welcome to the Art page!

My name is Sarah Ferron and I'm happy to be here working with you all. I have loved making art my entire life and I love being able to share art with all of you.

I studied art in Baltimore at the Maryland Institute College of Art and went on to get my masters of art education there as well. I believe that every student can be an artist and that art is for everyone.

Art can mean many things. Art can mean self expression, it can mean creativity and play, and so much more.

About Art at St. Elizabeth

Students at the early education center will strengthen their fine motor functions and develop their art skills in their classes. Art for this age group will be all about exploring curiosities, learning how to use materials, and playing with art.

Elementary school students will learn how to properly use art materials and will have a variety of art projects. Some projects will be open ended to allow a lot of creativity and student input. For other projects the students will be guided through the art making process each step of the way.

In middle school art class we will continue to learn how to properly use our materials. Students will be exposed to new artists, new art processes, and we will take on a variety of different projects.
