All About St. Elizabeth Art

We will spend our year using the art elements; line, color, value, space, texture, form and shape to create. Older students will develop understanding of the art principles; pattern, balance, unity, emphasis, rhythm, contrast, and movement. All students will be assessed each class period; expectations include following directions and “personal best” effort. Students grades 3rd through 8th will start each class with 10 points. The students will lose points if they are not on task, following directions and working up to their potential. I will do my best to input grades promptly (I usually upload grades daily.) You can check your student's grades on Sycamore.

Art Curriculum

St. Elizabeth School is blessed with a community who's support provides the students with a creative art experience. Art classes are almost 100 percent studio classes. Student art knowledge is developed through a hands-on process. Students are happily engaged as learning takes place through creating.
