Choosing a Project
When it comes to choosing a project, the sky's the limit! What have you wondered about? The best topics come from your own genuine curiosity about how something works, or why something is the way that it is. Below are more specific ideas for you to think about.
Science Project Category Ideas:
Investigative: use the scientific method to create a hypothesis and an experiment to test the hypothesis.
Suggested format: Science Fair Format
Research: collect information about a specific topic and present what you have discovered.
Demonstration: show a scientific principle by recreating an experiment; involves manipulating one variable to see what happens with the change.
Suggested format Science Fair Format
Model: build a model to demonstrate a scientific concept (volcano would fall into this category).
Collection: just that…a collection of like items.
But if you have trouble thinking of something on your own, the internet is full of resources to help you choose a topic.
