‘Guided by God to love, trust, hope, serve and inspire the best in everyone.’
Message from Mrs Mann...
Dear Parents, Carers and Children,
We have had a busy few weeks at St Dunstan's! It has been lovely to welcome so many parent helpers into school and to meet some of our families at our two workshops about SEND. I would like to extend my thanks here to Jane Morgan from Cognus for joining our workshops.
We have some extremely talented children at St Dunstan's Cheam - in Celebration Worship we have celebrated dancing, football, cricket and not to mention some excellent summer reading! It's wonderful to see the children getting involved in lots of different activities. On that note, it has been fantastic to hear the children learning French with Lingotots which we have introduced this year.
I felt honoured to attend Eucharist at Southwark Cathedral this week where I received my blessing as a new headteacher and stood by the St Dunstan's flagstone.
I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and I look forward to seeing the children and staff on Monday.
Reflection:
"To love another person is to see the face of God"
(Translated from Les Miserables, Victor Hugo)
In Worship, we have been remembering our values and in particular the value of love. We have thought about how we show our love, respect and acceptance of everyone in our community as Jesus showed love to all without judgement.
We need your help...
Website:
We are going to relaunch our website over the next few months and we would like our parents to be part of this. Please complete this FORM if you would like to share your ideas with us. We cannot promise to include every single idea but we would like to know your thoughts.
Friends of Cheam Church School (FCCS):
As a reminder, please contribute if you can. This is supportive to the school in that it helps maintain our building and site. We are so grateful for your support in this. Your £50 contribution can be made on: www.parentpay.com
Community:
Please could we ask you all to be mindful of our neighbours when coming to and from school. We have had communication from some that our families are blocking their driveways. This would be very much appreciated. Thank you.
