I began my study of science at the University of Minnesota Duluth where I earned a bachelors in biology and a master of science in ecology with a minor in applied and computational math. During my time as a graduate student I discovered a love for teaching, especially in a hands-on laboratory setting. After graduating I spent about a decade teaching biology to undergraduate freshman as an adjunct instructor. I then returned to Bethel University to earn my MN teaching license. During my time at Prep I've taught biology, anatomy/physiology, honors biology, astronomy, and, most recently, Earth science. Although I'm a biologist at heart, I love teaching Earth science. I've always been fascinated by geology, astronomy, and environmental science so I am very happy to have the opportunity to teach a class that combines all three! In my spare time I enjoy hanging out with my two daughters, hiking along Lake Superior, and agility training with my dog, Loki.
