Meet

Mrs. Haynes

My name is Shannon Haynes and I am glad you stopped by to learn more about me. I am THRILLED to be a sixth grade English Language Arts teacher at St. Clair Junior High.

I am a thirty-something, sixth grade teacher, avid reader, and baking enthusiast! I am the mom to two fabulous boys, Cameron and Evan, and our furbabies; Dodger and Sadie Mae our pups. My husband and I have made our home on our family farm in the Lonedell area. A farm was the last place I thought I would ever live, but now that we are here, I have come to realize that I LOVE IT HERE! I don't hear any cars driving by, I don't hear any neighbors, I don't have to walk my dogs on a leash anymore; instead I hear cows, chickens, donkeys, and the birds all while my dogs runs free in the fields. It is absolutely wonderful!

Just like my students, I attended St. Clair Junior High when I was in sixth grade. I graduated from Saint Clair High school in 1999. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education at Missouri Baptist University in 2006. I also earned my Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Arkansas State University in 2011. I began teaching in 2007, after spending some time as a paraprofessional with the St. Clair School District. I spent my first ten years of teaching at the Edgar Murray Elementary as a fourth grade teacher. After that, I moved to the St. Clair Junior High, where I love being an English Language Arts teacher. I truly have a love of learning, and I cannot wait to share my passion of being a lifelong learner.
