Hot Cross Buns

How it works:

• Each week, you will have an assigned piece to practice and prepare.

• You will then record a video of yourself playing the assignment with one of the mp3 accompaniment tracks and send it to me at tcoulton@stclementschool.com.

• I will asses your performance and if you pass, you will get a colored belt to add to your recorder when we return to school. If you do not pass the first time, you will get to record the performance again in order to earn your belt.

• Your first assignment is "Hot Cross Buns." Once you pass this song, you will earn your first belt-a white belt!

• In order to pass, you must play correct rhythms, notes, and use the correct fingerings. Remember to sit with good posture, hold your recorder at a 45 degree angle, put your left hand on top, use SLOW warm air, and articulate!

• The more you practice, the quicker you can earn your belts. You will become a Level 1 Recorder Master when you earn your black belt!
