Meet the teacher

My name is Ashley Nugarus. I graduated from St. Christina in 2002 and still live in the area. I love being part of the St. Christina family as an educator instead of a student! I graduated from Eastern Illinois University with my bachelor's degree in elementary education. This is my 14th year teaching. I previously taught kindergarten for 5 years before making the change to third grade.  I am a very proud mom of 4.  Lucy and William (Will) are 8 years old, Henry is 4 , and welcomed new addition, Vivian in August. 

I will be teaching Religion (room 15 only), Reading, Language Arts, and Spelling (all of third grade).  Mrs. Baldwin will be teaching Social Studies, Science and Math. Please check both our pages for homework each night.  I love teaching and cannot wait to have a year full of learning and fun!!!
