Mrs. Marshall
Amid the chaos and craziness of the short month and holiday season, we enjoyed a lot of fun things with the Christmas play at the end of the week, to get our hearts ready for the Birth of Jesus! We hope you enjoyed our show and know that the kids did a lot of hard work and practice by all to pull off the beautiful story of the Nativity.
Grinch day was our first and the kids really seemed to enjoy our activities and getting a little "Grinchy" in our colors and shirts. We watched the movie and read the book to compare the differences and same using some ELA skills. One skill that is continually practiced is the parts of a story, with character, setting, problem and solution; which we included in this as well. Grinchy math was a hit as the kids were allowed to use cubes and lay all over the floor while we did this problem solving activity. Then Grinch a picture frame craft to pull it together!
I can't thank everyone enough for keeping the reason for the season in our hearts, using the Advent count down at home and hard as it may be, doing some school work!! Your generosity in the class Christmas gift is overwhelming and I so appreciate your kindness! Enjoy your long break, but keep those skills up at home if you can read a book or two but enjoy your family time too!
Love and Peace,
Mrs. Marshall

Absent notes are a MUST, so please make sure to send one in when your child is absent. If it is 3 or more days consecutively and NOT a family trip, they MUST have a note for a doctor!
Please practice tying shoes; many of the boys and girls still do not know how to do this and it is really important for safety and part of their uniform! There are some really interesting tutorials on Youtube that might help if your child has had difficulty!
