Literature/Reading ( 2nd Period) : Outsiders Day March 27th.
Listening and Speaking We finished our Speaking assignments. Our goal is to get the students discussing topics a little longer each time. We are also working on listening assignments. This skill will help them in highschool and college. It is important to learn to write essays, but to write notes in shorthand as well.
We are working on our speaking infront of others.
When speaking please remember to greet your audience, look at your audience, speak slow, loud, and clear. Pause if you need to gather your thoughts. Do not rock back and forth, do not stand with your hands in your pockets. Please remember when you are speaking to put yourself after others and use the correct pronouns. Be mindful of your time. Remember to thank your audience when finished.
