Office Hours are Monday thru Friday 9:00 am. to 11:00 am., and 1:00 - 3:00 pm.

If a students asks me a question on Google Classroom. I will most likely answer outside of my office hours.

Week 3/16 - 3/20 - All assignments are posted in Google Classroom

3/17 Central Europe Vocab and Capitals Test - Google Form

Homework - Type or Write Vocab #1-8 for SE and submit on Google Classroom

3/18 Students will complete workbook pages 45 and 47. The should take a picture of it and submit to the classroom

Homework - Type or Write Vocab #9-16 for SE and submit on the classroom

3/19 Mapping Activities - Physical Features Map and Political Map - directions and "how to" are on the google classroom. Complete and submit to the Google classroom

3/20 Read and Answer Map activity questions. A Document is posted on the Google Classroom for them to evaluate the map activities on page 296 and 298. There is a total of four questions. Complete and submit to the Google Classroom.



Week 3/23 - 3/27

3/23 Workbook pages 48 and 49. Complete it and take a picture to submit it to the google classroom

3/24 Southern Europe Map Test. Submit it to the Google classroom when complete.

3/25 Vocab/Capitals SE Test. Submit to the classroom when complete.

3/26 Workbook page 59 Activity #1. Take a picture and submit it to the classroom. Highlight page 58. See attachments on classroom.

3/27 Workbook page 59 Activity #2. Take a picture and submit it to the classroom.

Announcement 3/27

1) 4/1 Will be scheduled for a make up day. If you are missing any assignments, please complete them and submit.

2) Teachers were instructed to create assignments based on 30 minutes. I am lower the work load. Moving forward, since you do not see everyday of the week. I will only assign four days of work.

3) There have been 3 online assessments (tests). Please make sure they are completed. If not, it could result in a zero.

Week 4/13-4/17 I hope you Enjoyed you Easter Break!

4/15 - Students will read and complete workbook pages 79 - 80. First they will read and highlight page 79- 80. Then complete the map on page 80. They can use the workbook, notes or videos posted from the prior lesson. They will take a picture of it completed and submit it to the classroom assignment.

4/16 - Students will read complete workbook page 81. First they will read and highlight important parts on pages 81, 84 and 85, then complete Activity 1 & 2. They will take a picture of it completed and submit it to the classroom assignment. Students from Pod A will have a virtual lesson. I offer small groups and 3 a day.

4/17 - Students will read complete workbook pages 82 & 83. They will complete Activity 1 & 2. They will take a picture of it completed and submit it to the classroom. Students from Pod B will have a virtual lesson. I offer small groups and 3 a day.

Week 4/20 - 4/24

Announcement

Please make sure you are checking your emails and responding to your teachers. I will be sending out your Zoom classroom invites to your emails. If you do not receive an email with an invite, please reach out to me. Remember, you are required to attend 1, at least once a week.

Assignments

4/20 - Students will read and highlight page 87. They will complete the Map activities #1 and 2 on page 84 of Workbook. Students will wait to complete workbook page 85 to take a picture of it and submit. No submission today.

4/21 - Students will complete Activity #1 on workbook page 85, a continuation of the Map Activity from 4/20. Take a picture of workbook page 86 and submit it to the Google classroom assignment.

4/22 - Students will take a quiz on Introduction to Africa. Students will download an assessment and make a copy of it before they start it. Students will use their notes and workbook to look up the answers. Once completed they will upload it to the Google Classroom assignment.

4/23 - Students will complete workbook page 87. Students will take a picture of it and upload it to the Google Classroom assignment.

4/24 - I will return corrections for the workbook pages for students to make corrections. Students should make the corrections in their workbook, it will benefit them when taking the tests.

Australia Project - make sure you are working on your Australia Project Due May 8th!

Emails - Check your emails more than a couple times a day.

Announcements

This week you will be introduced to the region of Northern Africa. What you can expect: Read notes, Read Workbook and Highlight, workbook pages to complete, an a map quiz and a content test. Your quiz and test for North Africa will be the week of May 3rd.

Assignments

4/27 - Students will take their Introduction to Africa content test. Students will complete it and submit it to the Classroom Assignment.

4/28 - Students will be introduced to the area of North Africa. Students will read notes and workbooks. Students will highlight important information for North Africa in their workbook. There is nothing to submit.

4/29 - Students will complete workbook page 89. Once completed they will take a picture of their work and submit it to the Classroom assignment.

4/28 - Students will complete workbook page 94 and use workbook page 93 to complete. Once completed they will upload a picture of their completed workbook page.

5/1 - We usually only have 4 days of Social Studies so students will not have work for today.

Week 5/4 - 5/8

5/4 - Students will take their map quiz on Northern Africa. Once completed students will upload it to the Google Classroom Assignment.

5/5 - Students will take their Northern Africa content test. Once completed students will upload it to the Google Classroom Assignment

5/6 - Students will be introduced to Eastern Africa. Students will read and highlight the notes in their workbook and notes. Students will watch a video to help supplement the lesson. Students will complete the Map activity on page 95 and 96. Students will use page 96 to Map on page 95. Students will take a picture of page 96 and upload it to the google classroom assignment.

5/7 - Students will watch the videos provided in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia and Somalia and answer the questions in the attached document. They will upload their answers to the Google Classroom assignment.

5/8 - There are no SS assignments due today. Social Studies Australia Brochure is due. Students will upload it to the SS Classroom and the Tech Classroom.

Week 5/11 - 5/15

5/11 - Students will take a Map Quiz on Eastern Europe (Pod A & B). They will submit it to the Google classroom assignment. All Pods will be introduced to their Performance Assessment on their Google Meet. We will talk about the 3 slideshows and talk about the Outline of each paragraph (Pod B).

5/12 - Students will take a test on Eastern Europe. The will submit it to the Google Classroom assignment (Pod A & B). All Pods will be introduced to their Performance Assessment on their Google Meet. We will talk about the 3 slideshows and talk about the Outline of each paragraph Pod A).

5/13 - Students will be introduced to their Performance Assessment. Students will write an essay comparing the 2 of the world's 3 main religions. Students will be introduced to the content through slideshows. All Pods will be introduced to their Performance Assessment on their Google Meet. We will talk about the differences and similarities between each Religion. Students will choose their topics to talk about in their essay (Pod B).

5/14 - Students will be introduced to their Performance Assessment on their Google Meet. We will talk about the differences and similarities between each Religion. Students will choose their topics to talk about in their essay (Pod A).

Week 5/18 - 5/22

5/18 - Students will work on their Introduction Paragraphs. We will discuss the importance of the introduction paragraph and form their thesis and introduction paragraphs. Pod B will meet to talk about it. Students will follow the outline I gave them to complete the essay.

5/19 - Students will work on their Introduction Paragraph. We will discuss the importance of the introduction paragraph and form their thesis and introduction paragraphs. Pod A will meet to talk about it. Students will follow the outline I gave them to complete the essay.

5/20 - Students will work on their first body paragraph. We will discuss their first similarities for their essay. I will teach them where to look for similarities in their slides and how to write about them in their essay (Pod B). They will work on developing their sentences for their first body paragraph.

5/21 - Students will work on their second body paragraph. We will discuss their first difference for their essay. I will teach them where to look for similarities in their slides and how to write about them in their essay (Pod A). They will work on developing their sentences for their second body paragraph.

Week 5/25 - 5/29

5/26 - Students will start their third body paragraph. They will discuss their second difference. Pod A will meet to talk about it.

5/27 - Students will start on their conclusion paragraph. Pod B will meet to talk about it.

5/28 - Students will work on finishing their essays. Pod A will meet to talk about it.

5/29 - Students will work on finishing their essays. Pod B will meet to talk about it.
