I am so excited to be a part of the St. Charles Community! I know how special of a place this is because I am an alumni and parishioner of St. Charles. Having such a positive elementary school experience put me on the path of wanting to become an educator, especially a Catholic educator. 

I attended the University of Iowa, and I received my degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Social Studies. During my time at Iowa, I had the opportunity to spend three months teaching 3rd grade in Ennis, Ireland. That offered me the opportunity to see how a school system worked in another country and also learn about different cultures. I also recently received my Masters in Educational Technology and Design from Concordia University. I am passionate about incorporating technology into my social studies lessons! 

I am married to my wonderful husband, Josh. We have a three year old son named Connelly and a two old named Liam! I love to travel to new places, and I try incorporating those travels into my teaching! I spent three years teaching middle school Social Studies, Language Arts, and Literature at Holy Family Parish School in Whitefish Bay. I am looking forward to teaching 7th and 8th grade Social Studies this year!
