Science

In science we study earth science and space. This topic is easy for the students to relate to due to our geographic location. We also delve into the study of soil and nutrients and how they relate to food and human health. The science grade is based on classwork, homework, tests, quizzes, and projects. We also do a modified science fair project in 6^th grade that prepares students for the science fair in Junior High. This will allow them to learn how to properly conduct an experiment while carrying out the Scientific Method. We will be doing the bulk of the work in class. We will also be going on at least one science field trip this year to either Mt. St. Helens or Mt. Rainier.
