• The children's day starts with some morning work. This is usually a handwriting or reading activity along with the chance to respond to marked work.

• They take part in collective worship.

• Every morning the children will always have English and Maths lessons.

• The afternoons are usually made up of their foundation subjects where cross-curricular links are made where possible. 

• French, Music and one PE lesson are taught by specialist teachers. 

Majority of homework tasks are set on Google classroom. The children also have a maths and grammar workbook and the allocated pages are set on Google Classroom. 

Homework is sent out as follows:

English / Topic homework - marked in class

Maths homework - marked in class

Sent out: Thursday

Due in: Monday

Reading Records

Collected in every Tuesday and checked by the teacher. 

We expect to see 5 entries with 2 comments, written by the children, every week. They have a bank of suggested comment starters in the front of their Reading Record.
