Nursery Learning Lab

In nursery, our aim is to provide a friendly, stimulating and inclusive environment. From the start we support the children in making new friends, learning to share and being kind to each other as well as becoming more independent. The nursery day consists of a mixture of whole-class teaching time, small group adult-led activities and a time we call 'Freeflow'. The children spend the largest part of their session in 'Freeflow' following their interests and having adventures when exploring the indoor and outdoor learning environments. The children are exposed to new challenges and experiences and begin to develop their problem-solving skills and perseverance. During 'Freeflow' we love to listen to the children’s ideas, chat with them about their experiences and join in with their play. Through these interactions, we are able to build on their unique strengths and talents and extend their vocabulary, their knowledge and develop their skills.
