Dear Parents, 

I hope you had an enjoyable weekend. They always go too fast, don't they?

I am writing to introduce the projects we will be working on in school this week. For culture week, we will be asking the students questions about what they know about their cultural heritage. Where are your ancestors from, etc.... We are sending home a worksheet to help them research some of the things which may be part of their background. I know some of you are first and second generation in this country, there is much you can tell your children. Some of you know stories of generations far removed. Please work with your child to fill in the worksheet. Send it back tomorrow and we will use the information to create a family crest.

Please also know that we will be requesting an item for Show and Tell which relates to a cultural tradition of your family. This item is due on Wednesday.
