The Division of Student Affairs is committed to creating an enriching learning environment by collaborating with faculty, staff and students. Student Affairs promotes individual student growth, personal achievement and social responsibility through a variety of programs, services and support, which are designed to complement students’ academic experiences. In this session, you will have the opportunity to learn more about 1) the Division of Student Affairs; 2) the Student Code of Conduct and; 3) reporting options when seeking support for students of concern. The session will conclude with an open discussion on successful strategies for engaging with and assisting students who are facing obstacles or challenges.
Presenter:
Darcey Kemp, Vice President for Student Affairs, holds a BS in Marketing and an MBA both from Canisius College in Buffalo, New York. She previously served as the Assistant Vice President for Student Development, Leadership and Completion Initiatives at The College of Saint Rose, in Albany, New York. Prior to that, she spent 10 years at Mercyhurst University in Erie, Pennsylvania serving as the Director of the Center for Student Engagement & Leadership Development followed by Dean of Students at the North East Campus. Ms. Kemp began her student affairs career 20 years ago as the Assistant Director of Admissions/ Enrollment Management, Communications & Technology at alma mater, Canisius College.
