Cyber Security is Everyone

Session 1: 10:00am-10:50am | Room 201

We all share the responsibility to secure STCC’s information assets because technology controls alone cannot guarantee our systems are fully secure. IT can implement rules for accessing confidential data, password policies, and other security controls, but it only takes one mistake by an unknowing individual to cause a security breach. This session will discuss the importance of cybersecurity at STCC and how each individual can do their part in keeping our systems safe and secure.

Presenter:

Sean Pettis, Senior Director of Infrastructure and Security - Sean joined STCC in April of 2021 and has over 28 years of IT experience. Sean holds a BS in Computer Science from Orlando College, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and is a member of the Massachusetts State University and Community College Higher Education Information Security Officers (HEISO) council.
