In this session we will discuss key issues related to email security and strategies to secure your data. Topics include how to spot and report phishing emails, protecting and encrypting sensitive data, and securing your account from hackers. We will review the pitfalls and best practices to keep your inbox safe.

Presenters:

Mary Kaselouskas is Vice President & Chief Information Officer at STCC and has over 25 years of technical and leadership experience in both business and higher education.  Mary holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business from Bay Path University, a Master’s of Science in Information Technology from Quinnipiac University, and several technical certifications. Mary is  a member of the Massachusetts State University and Community College CIO Council, the Ellucian Executive Advisory Council, EDUCAUSE, and the Cyber Range/SOC Steering Committee for the Springfield Cybersecurity Center of Excellence (CCE) at Union Station.


Sean Pettis, Senior Director of Infrastructure and Security, joined STCC in April of 2021 and has over 28 years of IT experience. Sean holds a BS in Computer Science from Orlando College, is a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and is a member of the Massachusetts State University and Community College Higher Education Information Security Officers (HEISO) council.


Scott Howes, Assistant Director of Infrastructure and Security, has been a member of the STCC Infrastructure team since March 2020, with 10 years of experience managing networks and servers. He holds an A.S. in Computer Systems Engineering Technology from STCC, and a B.S. in History from Westfield State University.
