SPORTS AT SCC

This page will provide information to assist students in their choice of sporting activities, updates on draws and results and anything to do with Sports at St Catherine's College.

When selecting a sport, please give consideration to all other extracurricular activities, homework, family and church commitments when selecting your sports. We recommend that students discuss options with parents/guardians before registering.

At SCC, we are fortunate enough to have students willing to punch above their weight and perform to a high level of their chosen sport. For example, in our 2024 winter season, our Senior A netball team were able to be promoted twice in the weekly competition, winning their grade and placing third in the B grade at the Lower North Island Netball competition, with a huge invitation into the A grade for 2025. We have two awesome rowers who are currently entered into different regatta's and rowing competitions this summer season. Last summer season, we were able to take two strong volleyball teams to the annual secondary schools volleyball nationals competition in Palmerston North. We were also able to field a Rugby 7's team, as well as have our first Dragon Boating team race in 10 years! 

With the encouragement and support of our SCC community, we continue to help our students strive to succeed to the best of their sporting abilities. 

The SCC notice boards are a very important source of information and are updated daily with draws, results, team lists, upcoming events, courses, cancellations and defaults. Students are encouraged to check the notice boards and their school emails regularly. Sports notices can also be found:
