Gateway is a vocational course designed to support students to undertake learning and assessments to be ready for work. The programme provides broader educational options and strengthens pathways to further education and training or employment. This course is offered to Year 12 and 13 students.
All students are prepared for their work placements by undergoing First Aid and Health and Safety training.
There are shortages of females in infrastructure (building, electrician, plumbing) throughout New Zealand.
