Director of Youth Ministry
The Rev. Trey Phillips is a priest of the Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta. A recent graduate from the Candler School of Theology (20T), his seminary training focused on Episcopal studies and spiritual formation. His studies addressed how the Church can welcome and shape those new to the Christian faith.
In 2020-2021, Trey served as a hospital chaplain at Emory University Hospital Midtown. It was a year of learning to be pastoral amid a pandemic. He provided hundreds of hours of spiritual and emotional support to both the hospitalized and medical staff while navigating the COVID-19 pandemic.
Trey grew up in Alabama and lived in Indiana and South Carolina before he and his spouse, Annie, moved to Atlanta four years ago. Annie is currently a pre-K teacher at College Heights Early Childhood Learning Center in Decatur, GA. They enjoy going to the movies, traveling, and practicing hospitality—usually through board games and cookies!

Senior Leaders
I have worked on and off with teenagers since I got out of college. I am a cradle Episcopalian and I didn’t have much of a Christian education growing up. I find I learn as much as I teach. I know how much the St. Cat’s youth group meant to my daughter and I hope I can help bring some of that rich experience to the youth I work with.
4Ward Leaders
I'm the King of Bad Dad jokes and I'm not ashamed about it. This is my 11th straight year that I have been teaching in the J2A program, and I would not trade a minute away. I love being a part of the best part of St Catherine’s. I am so looking forward to making up for the missed youth trips that we had missed due to Covid.
Hi! My name is Thad Barrington, and I am one of the youth leaders of the 4ward class. This is my second year as a youth leader, and I am so excited for this year’s youth program! I have been apart of the St. Catherine’s community since 2003. I came up through the youth program, and I absolutely loved my time as a youth. It is such an honor to be a leader now, and I’m so thankful to be involved with such a great group.
J2A Leaders
This is my second year teaching youth. Having watched one child complete the J2A program & one about to go on pilgrimage, I was excited for the opportunity to go on this journey with our youth! Watching them grow spiritually has been a true joy & I am excited to learn from our 6th/7th graders as we make this journey together!
