Dear Parents/Carers,
It has been such a joy to return to school this week after my maternity leave. I've been truly touched by the warm welcome from staff, pupils, and parents - thank you all. One of the greatest pleasures has been seeing just how much the children have grown and progressed since I last saw them. Their confidence, curiosity, and kindness are evident in every classroom, and I couldn't be prouder of the learning and development that is taking place across the school.
We are slowly approaching the end of the academic year but have many exciting events taking place within the school before this happens. Year 6 is busily preparing for their spectacular end-of-year performance while our reception children are preparing to graduate from EYFS. It is important to take the time to enjoy these special moments, to pause and reflect on what matters most - our children. Their happiness, well-being, and learning remain at the heart of everything we do.
Celebrate My Year
Earlier this week a number of parents were able to join us to celebrate the children's year. I am sure we are all in agreement, that the children have worked unbelievably hard this academic year and have done us all tremendously proud. We look forward to celebrating this again, next year!
Holy Communion
A special congratulations goes to our Year 3 children and Cody (Y4) and Harvey (Y6) who celebrated their Holy Communion Mass this week. It was a beautiful and reverent occasion, and the children conducted themselves with such grace and maturity. We are all very proud of them.
Fundraising
Three of our Year 1 parents, Mr Wright, Mr Reeves and Mr Brown, are participating in a 170 km cycling event this weekend, taking on one of the world's most renowned touring routes, The Ring of Kenny. Very generously, they are raising funds for our school. More information can be found on their fundraising page www.gofundme.com We wish them the best of luck this weekend!
Wishing you all a restful and joyful weekend.
Best wishes
Mrs Reilly & Mrs Lavelle-Murphy
