Dear Parents/Carers,
We would like to say a huge well done to our Year 6 pupils for the mature and positive way they approached their SATs last week. We were incredibly proud of the determination, resilience and excellent attitude they showed throughout the week, and they should all feel very pleased with themselves for the effort they put in.
This week, Year 6 have continued to impress us during their residential trip to the Isle of Wight. They have represented the school brilliantly, showing enthusiasm, teamwork and excellent behaviour throughout the visit. It has been wonderful to see them trying new activities, supporting one another and making lasting memories together.
Last week, we also had the pleasure of watching the Year 2 assembly where they showcased all their learning this year. It was a real pleasure to hear about all that you have learned and enjoyed and the singing was a particular highlight. Well done year 2!
As part of our celebrations for the Month of Mary, we were delighted to welcome representatives from Aid to the Church in Need into school this week. They led a thoughtful and engaging whole-school assembly, helping the children to reflect on the importance of Mary in our faith and the work carried out to support Christians around the world. Following the assembly, Year 3 and Year 4 pupils also took part in workshops which gave them the opportunity to learn more through discussion and activities.
Just as a reminder, the first Monday after half term is an INSET day (Monday 1st June). Then we welcome the children back on Tuesday to celebrate our annual Sports Week. Please see the section below for further information.
We hope you all have a wonderful half term break and enjoy making special memories with your beautiful families. Thank you, as always, for your continued support, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back for a busy summer term.
Kind regards,
Mrs Lavelle-Murphy & Mrs Reilly

Stir Food is the school's catering company that loves food, encourages a community spirit and has a mission to put pride back into school kitchens across the UK.
They work hard to try and get as many to eat a school dinner each day and would really appreciate if you would complete the following short survey with your child on our catering service in your school.
Please be assured that they will actively use the responses to improve what we do.

Our Year 4 pupils recently took part in the 2026 ASCAT Dance Festival held at Holy Rood. To mark the Year of St Francis, this year’s theme was “Peace”, and the children performed beautifully with great enthusiasm, creativity and confidence.
They worked incredibly hard in preparing for the event and represented the school wonderfully throughout the festival. It was a fantastic opportunity for the children to celebrate dance, work collaboratively and take part in a memorable shared experience with other schools across the trust.
Thank you to the staff and Naomi Czuba for helping choreograph the performance!
