Dear Parents/Carers,
I hope this newsletter finds you all well and you are enjoying the long awaited sunshine!
First Holy Communions
A huge congratulations to the children in year 3 who made their First Holy Communion last Saturday at both Our Lady of Walsingham and Borehamwood. Another step on your journey through your faith where we hope you feel the peace of Christ filling your heart and the joy of His presence in your life. We look forward in sharing these celebrations with the school community the mass on Wednesday 2nd July.
Year 6 SATs
I would like to publicly congratulate the children, staff and parents in Year 6, on getting through this last week of SATs papers. Obviously the children are in need of the biggest congratulations but the staff and parents who have helped prepare and support them so well, in both the lead up and throughout this week, also deserve a huge thank you! The children coped amazingly well. They tackled each paper with confidence and strength and supported one another at every point. What is expected of Year 6 children, all across the UK, is huge in our opinion, and these children couldn't have approached the challenge any better. Well done year 6, you are already stars in our eyes.
Isle of Wight week
Please keep the children, staff and parents of year 6 in your prayers next week as we leave for the year 6 residential trip to the Isle of Wight. The children are so excited and deserve a week of fun and adventure after all the preparation and hardwork that has led up to their end of year assessments. We will keep the community posted on the fun they are all having through out school Twitter page.
Pupil interviews
Next, week the teachers will be given time out of class to run their pupil interviews. These days are designed to give the staff some valuable 1:1 time with the children and discuss their many achievements and areas for developments. Please take some time to discuss these with your child next week.
Ink Cartridges
You are now able to recycle your home printer ink cartridges with us, helping to raise money for the parish council. The box to put them in is just inside the front entrance door. (No industrial size cartridges please - just home printer cartridges).
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
Best wishes,
Mrs Lavelle-Murphy & Mrs Alger
