Note for guardians: The College Library operates with age restrictions on what books can be borrowed by different age groups. The external links provided here are to general resources. Parents should be aware of this and exercise their own judgments in deciding whether the content is suitable for their own children.

Audible has made a large collection of teens and children’s audiobooks free to listen to with the launch of Audible Stories. Stories will be free to stream on your desktop, laptop, tablet or phone without needing an Amazon account.

Offers every student 2 hours of free weekly reading in a limited library of high-quality educational books.

For younger siblings! The SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s award-winning children’s literacy website streams videos featuring celebrated actors reading children’s books alongside creatively produced illustrations.

Lots of author video interviews and readalouds from Scottish Book Trust.

As well as some really useful sections on how to read aloud to children and reluctant readers, the teen section has lots of useful information on the best new reads, authors, writing book reviews and a great book finder tool.
