How do i get to the site?
The St Bathans Domain is located on Fish Pond Road. Turn Left before the bridge
It is the only dedicated camping area in St Bathans.
The St Bathans Area Community Association manages the domain for camping.
What Facilities are available?
Toilet
Non potable water supply- All water in the village is not suitable for drinking and bathing, please ensure that all water is boiled at a rolling boil for atleast 5 minutes, this includes for toothbrushing and cleaning dishes.
What are the fees?
A minimum donation of $5 per campsite, per day ensures that local facilities are maintained for users. These funds have allowed the area to be mowed and native trees to be planted for shelter.
Are there any rules?
We encourage responsible camping.
Please DO NOT light fires, we have no ability to fight a fire throughout the Village. The nearest volunteer fire service is over 30 minutes away and even a small fire would devastate the area.
Anything else we should know?
There is no cell phone coverage in St Bathans, you may be able to get coverage at the carpark above the Village, please follow the St Bathans- Downs Road to access this area.
Can i get to the Blue Lake from the campsite?
Yes, there is a short walking track that will take you through the historic gold mine to the Blue Lake. This area can be slippery due to snow in Winter, please wear appropriate footwear.
Camping at the Blue Lake is strictly prohibited due to the unstable cliff faces and risk of fire to the Heritage Village.
