Dear First Grade Families, 

I hope all of my first grade families had a wonderful Labor Day weekend. I enjoyed meeting all of my new first graders last week. 

This is our first full week of school. We will begin homework this week. Students will receive a phonics page inside of the home folder. They need to complete side 2 and return it in the folder the following day. They will also complete a math page in the homework and practice book. Simply look at the heading Monday's lesson is 1.1. Have them complete the homework, tear out the page and return it the next day in the home folder. Work will be checked and sent home usually on the same day.  Students will copy their homework every day in a daily planner, It's also on the website in case they make a mistake or I make a change.

Coming Events:

9/17 - Back to School Night (parents only) Grades 1-8 

9/18 - School Closed - teacher spirituality day

Your student should bring a healthy NUT FREE snack each day, a reusable water bottle (disposable and squirt type bottles are not permitted this year.), and lunch as well, on full days.  Please be sure to include all utensils, napkins, etc. your child will need.  Beverages other than water may only be consumed in the cafeteria .

Please inform the office (email or phone call) of any changes in dismissal or absences from school.
