Hello! My name is Mrs. Chrissy Santoro, and I am so blessed to share my love of science with our middle school students. I have been teaching for 13 years in both California and New Jersey. Every day I feel grateful to guide young learners as they explore the world around them.
I earned a bachelor's degree from Rutgers University and a master's degree from National University, where I developed a strong foundation in both science and education. These experiences shaped my passion for lifelong learning, and I bring that same excitement into my classroom.
My teaching philosophy is rooted in curiosity, discovery, and faith. I believe that when students are encouraged to ask questions, explore possibilities, and connect science to their everyday lives, they gain confidence not only in the classroom but also in themselves. Science is more than facts and formulas—it is a way of thinking, problem-solving, and growing as children of God.
As a Catholic school teacher, I feel strongly about the importance of Catholic education. Our faith gives us a lens through which we can see the beauty and wonder of God’s creation. By combining rigorous academics with spiritual growth, Catholic education helps students build strong character, a sense of responsibility, and a commitment to serving others.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, coaching cheerleading, and relaxing at the beach. You might also see my two dogs, Jersey and Cali, pop up in our science fun—they make great “lab assistants” in goggles! 🐾🧪
I look forward to another exciting year of exploring, discovering, and learning together!
