Dear First Grade Families,

I hope all of my first-grade families had a wonderful weekend. I hope everybody had a great Halloween!

• I will send a Sign-Up Genius link through ClassDojo this week to schedule Parent-Teacher conferences. 

• This week, we will have our Phonics Test on Thursday, November 6th. There will be a Math Test on Friday, November 7th.

• Please refer to the Parent/Student Handbook for guidelines on the Winter Uniforms. We head into the colder months. Please make sure your child has a jacket for recess.

• We will be attending Mass on Friday, students must wear their formal uniform.

Please inform the office (email or phone call) and me (through Class Dojo) of any changes in dismissal or absences from school.

WE DECLARE A CHANGE SPREE! 

Here’s the deal: starting November 3rd through November 21st- each class will be collecting coins and dollars in a container every morning! 

All money collected will be donated to help those in need, much like St. Carlo Acutis did during his life. 

So how does it work? The pennies and dollars your child brings in are positive points for your child’s class – nickels, dimes and quarters are negative points for another class. 

Teachers will bring the classes’ containers to Room 101 each morning with a note as to which grade the silver is counting against for that day. 

The class can pick a new class each day or keep choosing the same one! Positive Points Pennies +1 point each $1 +100 points $5 +500 points $10 +1000 points $20 +2000 points for your own grade Negative Points Nickel -5 points Dime -10 points Quarter -25 points to your grade of choice Pre-K– 8th Totals will be announced daily.
