Welcome to 2nd Grade! 

Week of 2/2/26

We will be MAP testing this week. Please have children in school by 7:35am in order to begin the test on time. 

Monday, 2/2/26:  MAP Reading Test Part 1. Please have children arrive on time to begin testing.  

Tuesday, 2/3/26:  MAP Reading Test Part 2.  St. Bart's Olympics Day- all students are to wear gym uniforms and sneakers.  Students may also wear red, white, and blue accessories with their gym uniforms. 

Wednesday, 2/4/26:  MAP Math Test. We will have gym today. Gym uniforms are required. 

Thursday, 2/5/26:  MAP LANGUAGE TEST.  We will have library today. Please return all library books. 

Friday, 2/6/26:  We will be going to Church today. Formal uniforms are required. 

• Green folders are to be brought to school each day.  This is how the children will bring home important papers and work. Please clean the folders out each day. 

• Please be sure to notify me of any changes to dismissal. You can reach out by email (afornarelli@stbartseb.com) or by sending a message on class dojo. 

• St. Bart's is a nut free school. Please read all labels to be sure all snacks and lunch items are nut-free.  The ingredients of some favorite snacks have changed. Please read all labels. Only water is allowed at snack time. Disposable water bottles are not permitted.  All other beverages can be consumed during lunch time. 

**The front office has asked that children come to school with raincoats fitted with a hood instead of an umbrella on rainy days.  This will help minimize issues at dismissal. **

UPCOMING DATES:

2/9 - Pastor's Holiday- NO SCHOOL 

 2/12- Valentine's Day Mailboxes are due.  Please send in 17 Valentines into class with only your child's name on them to distribute to the class.  

2/13- Valentine's Day Mailbox contest in class. Early Dismissal Day (11:30 am dismissal). 

2/16 - No School - Presidents Day

2/18- Ash Wednesday - Lent begins. Lenten Prayer Service. 

2/19- Mission Fair
