Welcome to 2nd Grade!

Week of 10/6/2025

Monday, 10/6/25: Test Folders are coming home today. Please sign and return on Tuesday. 

Tuesday, 10/7/25:  We will be taking our Math Test today on Topic 1.

Wednesday, 10/8/25: We will have gym today. Children should be in their gym uniforms. Test on Help!  A Story of Friendship vocabulary and comprehension   

Thursday, 10/9/25: We will have library today. Please return all library books. The Field Trip forms and payment is due today. 

Friday, 10/10/25:  NO SCHOOL

• Green folders are to be brought to school each day.  This is how the children will bring home important papers and work. Please clean the folders out each day. 

• Please be sure to notify me of any changes to dismissal. You can reach out by email (afornarelli@stbartseb.com) or by sending a message on class dojo. 

• St. Bart's is a nut free school. Please read all labels to be sure all snacks and lunch items are nut-free.  The ingredients of some favorite snacks have changed. Please read all labels. Only water is allowed at snack time. Disposable water bottles are not permitted.  All other beverages can be consumed during lunch time. 

**The front office has asked that children come to school with raincoats fitted with a hood instead of an umbrella on rainy days.  This will help minimize issues at dismissal. **

10/13: NO SCHOOL

10/16: Book Fair visit

10/24: HSA Halloween party. Please visit the school website for more information. 

10/30: 2nd grade field trip to Von Thun's farm. 

10/31: Halloween parade. Please see below for the school's guidelines on acceptable costumes.  Today is 11:30am dismissal.
