Learning is a joyful experience!
6th graders studied plate tectonics. They created maps to show where continents may have originated before drifting to where they are today.
Attention:
6th graders are beginning to study population geography. They will be conducting family immigration interviews over Thanksgiving break. I look forward to hearing the reports when we return.
7th graders are beginning a unit of study on events leading up to the American Revolution. We will sip some tea when we discuss the Boston Tea Party. This event led to a tea boycott and an Americans affinity for coffee.
8th graders are studying the Industrial Revolution. They are learning about inventors like Edison, Ford, and the Wright brothers. We still benefit from these individuals today. There were great changes, negative and positive, to American lifestyles during this era.
Plate tectonic movement can cause volcanoes and earthquakes! 6th graders tested the stability of their pasta/marshmallow structures on an earthquake simulation device.
