March 3- Academic Olympics (Holy Family- all 5-8th graders will participate)

7th graders have been studying events leading up to the Boston Tea Party.  A classroom reader theater performance was accompanied with cups of tea.

Attention:

6th graders are beginning a study on cultural geography.  Look for an upcoming project on cultures.  Shoebox projects are due on January 30th

7th graders have been studying the battles of the American Revolutionary War.  They sampled a food item commonly eaten during this time period...corn bread. 

8th graders are immersed in studying the lives of early immigrants to America. The parallels to the events in America today are so interesting.  

Plate tectonic movement can cause volcanoes and earthquakes!  6th graders tested the stability of their pasta/marshmallow structures on an earthquake simulation device.
