Welcome back to school! I'm so excited to return to teach Social Studies at St. Augustine Catholic School. I look forward to see students and hearing what they've been doing since June.

Staff members have been busy getting ready for the return of students. I have been making lesson plans, decorating the classroom, arranging furniture, labeling, sorting, updating my teaching credentials, and so much more....

I know that you and your student have been preparing to return to school after a long summer break. Students might be thrilled, reluctant, frazzled, unfazed, or a combination of these emotions. It's reassuring to know that most of the jitters fade pretty quickly once we get past the first few weeks.

Each student was given fun money to spend at neighboring businesses

Plate tectonic movement can cause volcanoes and earthquakes! 6th graders tested the stability of their pasta/marshmallow structures on an earthquake simulation device.

Sixth graders presented cultural shoe box projects. Some of the students elected to share foods representing the culture they researched.
