Class News

Religion

We will start to study the 3rd Commandment, Remember to keep holy the Lord's Day. Students will know this commandment more deeply by the time we are finished with the chapter. Students will also learn about the 40 days of Lent.

ELA

Students will evaluate evidence supporting two sides of an issue and decide which side they agree with using the debate Would you Want to be an Olympic Athlete? They will use evidence to support their side to write an opinion essay.

Math

This week in Math students will enjoy math activities that go along with Hundreds Day. They will also learn about geometric transformations, and find fractions of a set.

Social Studies

In Social Studies students will learn about the key events that lead from colonization up to the founding of the US. They will identify why immigrants came to the US in the 1800s.

Science

We are starting a new unit in Science. We will study motion and force. Students will use activities and informational text to learn about motion and forces.
