All grades began studying Unit 4 Vocabulary.
Sixth graders continued the novel, "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls. Skills include: close reading, figures of speech, and summarizing.
Seventh graders viewed the movie, "Roll of Thunder Hear My Cry" and compared it's characters to the characters in the novel. Skills include: compare/contrast and identifing characters into character types.
Eighth graders began the third collection in their anthologies called, "The Strange and Mysterious." Skills include: foreshadowing, suspense, and making judgements.
Virtue of the Week:
Modesty-Purity of heart in action, especially in regards to dress and speech.
