All grades began Unit 5 Vocabulary.
Sixth graders completed the novel, "Where the Red Fern Grows" by Wilson Rawls. Skills include: figurative language, summarizing, and writing written responses with text evidence.
Seventh graders continued reading the novel, "Number the Stars" by Lois Lowry. Skills include: charater analysis, figurative language, making accurate predictions by inferring, and identifying historical fact and historical fiction.
Eighth graders continued reading, "The Great Divorce" by C.S. Lewis. Skills include: character analyzation and how it connects to our Catholic beliefs, inferring, taking notes, and paraphrasing.
