*March is Reading Month's theme this year is "God's Perfect Gameplan." Check out the Saint's Weekly  for more information!

*March 30th:  Reading logs due 

*April 1st: Day of Silence

*April 2nd-April 12th: Easter Break!!

*April 3rd-St. Augustine Fish Fry (Middle School will be in charge of the dessert table!)

Vocabulary-

  6th, 7th, and 8th graders are learning words for Unit 11 vocabulary!

  Test on these words will take place after Easter Break.

Reading-

Sixth graders continued reading the novel, "The Hobbit" by J.R.R. Tolkien.  Skills included: vocabulary, visualization, character development, and summarizing.  

Seventh graders worked on reading skills such as: objective and subjective statements, looking for arguments in a reading passage, and identifying mood in a poetry.

Eighth graders continue reading the novel "The Giver" by Lois Lowry. 

Skills included:  theme, symbolism, and mood.

Keep working hard to finish strong on "God's Perfect Game Plan" reading challenge.  Reading logs are due on Monday and Wednesday!
