CLASSROOM NEWS
6th, 7th, and 8th Grade Vocabulary-
This week we will review vocabulary words from Units 1-3. A mastery test will be given on Wednesday.
6th Grade Reading- Students will review figures of speech. Skills include: identifying and applying hyperbole, personification, and types of conflict.
7th Grade Reading-Students will review elements of poetry and study poems by Emily Dickenson. Skills include: rhyme, rhyme scheme, rhythm, tone and mood.
8th Grade Reading-Students will complete story questions from "Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keys in partners before taking a test on this story. Skills will include: story vocabulary, irony, symbolism, and inferencing.
