Thank you to our amazing PTC, Administration, and St. Augustine families for all of their amazing generosity during "Teacher Appreciation Week".  You outdid yourselves in making our staff feel so loved-We love you too!!

Vocabulary-

6th graders began studying Unit 13

7th graders will be working on review of Units 7-12 for their Final Exam.

8th graders completed vocabulary final exam.

Reading-

Sixth graders continue reading the novel "The Phantom Tollbooth" by Norton Juster.

Skills included: vocabulary, problem/solution, word puns, and summarizing.  

Seventh graders completed reading the unit on fairy tales and began studying mythology.

Skills included: motifs, character types, and compare/contrasting.

Eighth graders reviewed for both vocabulary and reading finals.

Skills included:  imagery, inferring, cause and effect, symbolism, and the theme- coming of age.

The Virtue practiced last week was LOYALTY.

LOYALTY -ACCEPTING THE BONDS IMPLICIT IN RELATIONSHIPS AND DEFENDING THE VIRTUES UPHELD BY CHURCH, FAMILY, COUNTRY, FRIENDS, AND SCHOOL.

I love the Catholic Church!

Lord help me to follow your commandments

I love my family!

I will follow Jesus even when others do not.
