Classroom happenings!
All of the junior high students began working on their "Mission Statement," this week. Our design is a compass to direct us on our journey to navigate, educate, worship, and serve the Lord and others!
I am looking forward to the final product and will post each class to the site! Imagine what they will decide to follow and embrace in mission, especially the creative and loving minds that God has given to each student! We will put the final details on the mission statements on Monday and post later in the week!
6th grade we will review for chapter 2 test on Monday, test will be given on Tuesday. We will begin chapter 3 on Tuesday.
7th grade will take chapter 2 test on Monday and begin chapter 3.
8th grade will take the chapter test 3 test on Thursday.
If you get a chance to attend the girls volleyball games this week, I guarantee watching the girls play is so much fun, even if your daughter is not on the team, their classmates are exciting to watch and so much fun! "Go Saints!"
Games this week: JV at home (Holy Family gym) 6pm; Varsity game at home, 7pm.

Weekly classroom fun facts!
We had a great week! The students are working so hard at getting organized, following a schedule, being prepared for the different classes and materials needed with only a few reminders! Great growth!
In all of my classes I have a homework folder that I set out each day for homework, please remind your child to put homework in the folder that is always on my high-top! (They know what this is!)
During the coming week all the junior high classes will continue to move forward in our formation of faith, here are a few details per grade:
6th will continue to see God's creation in all its wonder and begin to understand stewardship. How God calls each one of us to be good stewards of creation, especially the resources we use each day. The students will learn how original sin played a part in breaking original justice, God's sharing of his holiness and friendship.
7th grade students will dive into the Blessed Trinity, relationships, evangelization, and how we share God's love with the world. I will introduce them to an Icon of the Blessed Trinity and they will design a Blessed Trinity as well as a Family Trinity!
8th grade will look at the Ten Commandments, Beatitudes, and Natural law. We will revisit God's covenant with the Israelites, their journey, the call to conversion and how God continues to interact with us today. The biggest discovery will be through the commandments, beatitudes and natural law, the students will grow in a greater understanding of God's plan for our happiness has always existed from the time of creation.
